HSSE Advisor

Wood is currently looking for HSSE Advisor to provide specialist support to our Qatar office on a staff basis.

Job Purpose:

The HSSE Advisor will support the Qatar Operations Manager in ensuring the implementation of the Company’s Health & Safety, Security and Environmental management system and the delivery of Wood’s HSSE goals.

Responsibilities

The HSSE Advisor will assist in;

  • Support the Qatar management team in implementing and assuring compliance with both Country and Company HSSES Requirements.
  • Provide inputs to proposals, including narratives and statistical data;
  • Collating statistical data;
  • Undertake audits as required;
  • Investigating incidents arising in the Qatar Business;
  • Reviewing and actioning HEART observation records;
  • Development of HSSE communications.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications

  • NEBOSH Occupational Health and Safety Certificate (Minimum)
  • Internal Auditor OHSAS 18001 (preferred)

Experience

  • A minimum of 5-years in HSSE-related roles
  • Good understanding of HSSE issues on projects
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills, including report writing skills (English)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office package
  • Ability to prioritise work and work within defined deadlines
  • Confident, proactive and highly motivated in seeking and undertaking new tasks and responsibilities

OffOffice Secretary

Wood is currently recruiting for an OffOffice Secretary to be based in our Doha office in Qatar. This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities

  • To welcome and check-in all visitors to the Doha office ensuring they have a valid security pass and are provided with Wood Health and Safety information.
  • Ensure incoming calls are answered in a timely and pleasant manner
  • Organise courier services as required
  • Arrange transport as required for visitors and staff
  • Maintain the reception area to a high standard of presentation
  • Providing general admin support to the management team
  • Liaising with client regarding queries
  • Organise and replenish stationery and office supplies
  • Arranging worldwide travel, flights, accommodation, transfers sometimes with complicated itineraries
  • Formatting documents
