Overview / Job Description

Responsibilities: :

    • Execute brand and sales initiatives and programs, enhancing brand awareness and building relationships
    • Identify and visit licensees and restaurants; building a partnership that maximizes profitable share and volume through distribution, visibility and service
    • Represent Steam Whistle at retail events within the retail channels.
    • Organize, solidify and attend new store openings, and ensure product listings and merchandising in place
    • Seeks new opportunities to customize and increase brand exposure
    • Build seasonal and promotional displays at retail
    • Visit various retail stores within the given territory based on SW prescribed frequency guidelines; identifying new distribution opportunities; building a partnership that maximizes profitable share and volume through distribution, visibility and service
    • Proactively use and maintain retail sales tools to inform and influence goals in store; ie-8 week report, Last Call, Weekly opportunity/gap reports, Monthly reports etc.
    • Review and analyze key sales data and comprehend rep reports
    • Provide weekly reports as prescribed to your leadership team
    • Utilize, leverage, and document sales call in Steam Whistle’s Sales CRM
    • Assist the distribution department as required to maintain sales and relationships and to support corporate initiatives and programs
    • Use every opportunity to build relationships with drinkers and key influencers that result in brand loyalty and repeat purchase
    • Actively promote the ‘Good Beer Folks’ experience and corporate presence in the community
    • Execute corporate and marketing initiatives and leverage them into consumer loyalty and beer sales in both licensee and retail channels
    • Effectively manage the given territory, ensuring all administration records and information is current and up to date
    • Utilize, track, maintain and stand accountable for assigned trade budget and complete monthly reconciliation on time and accurately
    • Attend and participate in various company sales and marketing meetings
    • Understand and comply with the legal and regulatory regulations of the Alcohol and Gaming Commission, appropriate to Ontario
    • Ensure that timely and accurate expense reports are submitted when due
    • Support accounts receivable, assisting with outstanding invoices and queries
    • Other duties as assigned

Skills and Experience: :

    • Must have previous sales experience, with proven track record – preferably within the alcohol beverage or food trade
    • Ability to manage own time, building effective weekly/monthly schedule
    • Excellent communication skills, able to quickly build rapport and form strong relationships
    • Must be Smart Serve certified and have a full G driving licence
    • Comfortable using current technology
    • Initiative, drive and determination to drive sales
