The role

The Resource Management role is a key role part of the Service Operations team reporting to the Global Resource Management Lead. This role will be mainly supporting the USA SAP services. The Resource Manager will be working in partnership with the Regional Delivery Lead, the Sales and Solutions teams and will be responsible for the day-to-day resource management tasks related to local and subcontractors staff such as: managing the staff pool of internal and contractor resources,  identifying staff with the right skills for upcoming projects, building and providing visibility of the staff availability, managing project extensions,  reviewing the staff utilization and identifying the availability gaps. This role will also work closely in collaboration with the Global Resource Management team, Talent Acquisition and HR teams to ensure we provide the best staff solution to projects on a timely manner.

This role will work in collaboration across the different services team including Delivery Leadership, Service Operations, People and Culture, Talent Acquisition and Legal to manage staff supply and demand.

Role & Responsibilities:

The SAP Resource Manager, is responsible for the following activities (but not limited to):

Contractor Management

  • Work as a focal point and integration point across the subcontractor process areas from resource requirements, sourcing and selection, onboarding and assignment through to off-boarding. This role partners with responsible stakeholders in the process to ensure a consistent and efficient experience.
  • Ensure contractors are effectively onboarded to each engagement as appropriate and that cost controls are maintained in alignment with forecast and company need
  • Proactively work with the PM to manage project extensions and re-allocation of work to contractors
  • Ensure all contractors meet compliance, documentation and training requirements

Local Staff Management

  • Works with Senior Leaders to understand resource requirements and develop resource strategies to meet current and future needs
  • Appropriate allocation of projects to staff (right staff on right engagements)
  • Create visibility of the staff availability gaps
  • Review the staff utilization and ensure time has been recorded accurately
  • Ensure we have exhausted the staff search globally before hiring a contractor
  • Identify trends to proactively balance workloads while increasing utilization
  • Serves as a central point of contact to identify, mediate conflicts and resolve resource needs related to permanent and subcontractors

 Relationship Management

Build relationship with staff at all grade levels, manage the allocation of staff on projects and drive pipeline meetings to manage staff supply and demand forecast

  • Work in partnership with the global Resource Management Lead to implement the RM best practices for the NORAM region
  • Provide recommendations / solutions on how to resolve the complex challenges and current process improvement
  • Assist on testing and implementation of Global RM initiatives and or processes
  • Build relationship with the NORAM staff to understand their core skills and career interests to ensure best fit for future projects
  • Work closely with the NORAM Service Delivery Lead and Group RM Lead to carry out the weekly activities as required
  • Communicate with management regarding future needs versus availability, potential staffing issues, and other information to allow the effective deployment of resources

Reporting

  • Update the Resource Management related systems as required
  • Generate scheduling, utilization and forecasting reports and provides analysis of the data to assist the leadership to make data driven decisions.
  • Review the staff reports to ensure accuracy
  • Provides accurate and insightful reporting and analysis to leadershi

What we need to see from you

Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Work Experience:

  • 3 years of relevant work experience with Resource Management and/or deploying professional staff, preferably in a consulting setting. Experience with subcontractor procurement is highly desirable.
  • 5+ Years of professional work experience
