The position will be responsible for the management of the sensor manufacturing team, the candidate will supervise the small team of technicians in their efforts related to building, testing, delivering, maintaining, and repairing the STA sensor systems. In addition, this candidate works closely with the R&D team to transition sensors under development to the small-scale production environment.
As a contributing member of a small team, this candidate will also work on ongoing research, development and engineering activities, and will support sensors used in the chemical production activities.
PROFILE
Responsible for the managing Sensor Systems Production, a small team of electronics technicians.
Responsible for managing the full scope of product manufacturing ranging from parts ordering to quality control activities.
The candidate contributes technically throughout the design and development phase of new sensors, performing design efforts specifically with a focus on providing a path forward to a manufacturable product.
Lead the transition of prototypes from the R&D team to production-ready products. Included in this transition effort is evaluating manufacturability; developing Bills of Materials, labor estimates and overall cost estimates; and the development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures.
Ability to leverage quality systems analysis tools is desired.
Responsible for managing field and on-site service, troubleshooting and repair activities; working closely with the development engineers to improve product reliability if needed
Actively participate in sensor Management of Change (MOC) including responsibility for final implementation of approved changes into the production environment.
Experience with ISO requirements and UL/CE certifications desired.
Experience in lean manufacturing and Six Sigma desired.
Ability to travel.
BS in Electronic Engineering or equivalent with 5-10 years’ experience in developing and manufacturing sensor systems.
U.S. citizenship required.
