Rivet is an early-stage, venture-backed SaaS startup building sophisticated software for healthcare providers to make the U.S. healthcare system more transparent via a reimagined payer intelligence and patient billing infrastructure.

We’re looking for a product manager to join our growing team and help deliver on our ambition to simplify healthcare billing. As Rivet’s third product manager, you’ll work closely with one of our two engineering teams to define, design, and deliver products that help patients understand the cost of care, and help healthcare providers get paid.

Responsibilities

An estimates product specialist is the in-house expert for Rivet’s insurance verification and patient cost estimates product. An estimates product specialist is extremely familiar with sending and receiving 270/271 transactions and knows the components of estimates and typical error resolution process. This means that an estimates product specialist must know how to configure the patient access components which may include appointments, fee schedules, eligibility/trading partners, service types, and payer adjudication logic. An estimates product specialist must also be able to review, comprehend and apply benefit attribution knowledge to drive improvement of accuracy.

  • Be the product guru on eligibility and estimates
  • Ownership mentality – escalate customer issues utilizing the appropriate channels to completion. Communicating with customers the progress being made.
  • Be the voice of the customer to communicate issues/requests to the Product team so they can take action to continually improve the product
  • Willingness to work with product team to continually improve product
  • Create product activation campaigns to deliberately reach out to customers to drive successful product adoption.
  • Proactively work with customers to consult on strategic initiatives, review and achieve identified business goals, and align on the overall impact.
  • Train and maintain customer knowledge on how to use Rivet for eligibility and estimate
  • Create and update training documentation
  • Deep understanding of 270/271
  • Understanding of payer adjudication logic
  • Understanding of fee schedules
  • Knowledge of healthcare coverage/services and how insurance pays for procedures

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years working within healthcare revenue cycle.
  • Minimum 2 years working with patient eligibility and benefits.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Positive attitude, collaborative personality, and desire to learn.
  • Exceptional follow-up skills to ensure needs are met and barriers to success are eliminated.
  • Effective presentation skills to present new functionality, perform training and collaborate with customers about concerns.
