Overview / Job Description

Responsibilities and Objectives:

Mentorship

  • Ensure that all operations and activities align with ISC policies and government regulations
  • Develop, coach and mentor other technicians to ensure training and competency requirements are met

Coordination

  • Review and make decisions in conjunction with other members of the Service Team
  • Supervise various work queues to fulfill customer requests
  • Assist other teams with basic job duties as the need arises
  • Maintain documentation and records

Technical Expertise

  • Diagnose, repair, configure and test gas detection equipment within project time limitations while focusing on quality
  • Work with our proprietary software to program special settings for sensors, users and locations
  • Cross-trained and knowledgeable on all service processes (IRO, CRO, iNet, Rental)
  • Cross-trained and highly competent on all instruments and docking stations
  • Preparation and testing of rental instruments and accessories
  • Visits to Customer sites and perform Diagnostics, Repair and Trainings
  • Travelling in MEATR regions for site installation, commissioning, trainings and supports
  • Accurate entry of customer information into Oracle, Salesforce or iNet control
  • Communicate issues and follow-up to the customer by phone or email
  • All other duties as assigned including Logistics Coordination, Shipping and Receiving Spare Parts, Instruments as advised by Manager
  • Daily inventory management and material handling

Process Improvement

  • Supervise to ensure all policies, procedures and standards are being followed on daily basis
  • Lead in development, update, review and promotion of Service SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures) and documentation
  • Complete vital trainings and apply FBS fundamentals on regular work
  • Communicate process and follow standard works
  • Proactively seek continuous improvement of Service Department processes (Kaizen), providing continual evaluation of the team’s processes/methods and enacting change to assure the most effective use of resources and equipment
  • Participate in departmental daily management and performance reporting
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and functional work area and follow
  • Delivery of impactful results

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED (Non-Negotiable):

Technical

  • Bachelor’s degree in electronics or equivalent experience
  • Mechanical assembly skills
  • Expert problem-solving skills and computer knowledge
  • Experience in manufacturing, assembly or repair/service environments
  • Proven capability to work independently on sophisticated projects requiring judgement to resolve problems

Non-Technical

  • Commitment to safe work practice
  • Ability to plan and schedule work
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in English, both verbal and written, with internal and external collaborators
  • Very organized and capable of performing multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Availability to travel within the MEATR Region up to 70% of time
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Superior attention to detail and willingness to take ownership of projects and tasks
  • Ability to work well with others in a multi-functional team under minimal direction
  • Proven experience in providing excellent customer service
  • Set a positive example and fulfill responsibilities with the highest integrity, ethics, and professionalism

QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED (Negotiable):

  • Previous experience with ISC Support Systems (Oracle, JIRA, Service Desk, iNet Systems, Salesforce, Windchill, DSSAC)
  • Full proficiency with MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience in repairing surface mount PCBs
  • High degree of proficiency in using standard measuring tools, electronic diagnostic equipment, and problem-solving at a component level
  • Knowledge of toxic and explosive gas monitoring
  • Kanban knowledge
  • Soldering skills
