Role Summary: You will be responsible for execution & completion of the assigned projects from initial design stage through tendering, supervising and ensuring the execution of all project work as per specifications, scheduling tasks, monitoring cost & quality and coordinate with end users for smooth occupying. 

Role Description: Prepare budget estimates for the building and renovation projects & Control expenses within the capital expenditure budget approved for these projects. 

Coordinate with concerned user departments to secure the requirements to plan and design the project specifications and drawings.

Coordinate with outside contractors, consultants and regulatory authorities where required during the design phase.

Conduct feasibility studies, investigate maintenance requests, and prepare estimates and scope of work.

Document project requirements from user departments to develop the design specifications.

Based on the approved project specifications, produce design drawings and submit them to the Head of Projects and Engineering for approval.

Coordinate with consultants for preparing tender documents and evaluation reports of tenders with recommendations to Head of Projects & Engineering.

Monitor the execution of projects and ensure that they are performed in accordance with the set design documents.

Coordinate with consultants & contractors and ensure the execution of project as per the specifications and drawings.

Review the material submittals, shop drawings, etc., and follow-up the procurement of materials.

Cross-check the contractor’s valuations, variations, etc., and provide comments/ suggestions.

Supervise projects and conduct regular site visits and site meetings to ensure the progress of works.

Prepare progress reports on the projects in accordance with agreed time and format requirements.

Verify the billing and progress of work submitted by contractors and submit comments/ suggestions.

Check-up site readiness and coordinate with occupying department & other concerned departments for smooth mobilization.

Maintain a good understanding of project design techniques, methodology and best practices for a wide variety of small to medium scale projects.

Maintain utmost confidentiality; design documents should only be provided on a need to know basis.

Project design & execution should be in compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Qualifications: You should have completed your university graduation in Civil Engineering/ Architecture 

You should have 6 years of experience in a similar job.

Along with Proficient communication skills in both Languages English and Arabic (preferable); and essential MS Computer skills, Access, Primavera, and knowledge in CAD/CAM applications.

Person: The incumbent will be responsible for assisting the management of the process of credit approval on individual credit facility proposals for Corporate and Retail customers (only those retail proposals that fall outside applicable policy parameters), forwarded to them by the appropriate departments/ units. She/ he will assess the quality of the credit exposure sought to be undertaken and adherence to established policies and procedures. She / He will constantly research and seek to apply best practices in credit risk, in accordance with Basel II and other relevant guidelines 

Experience:Perform activities within the assigned Credit Risk Strategy that reflects the Group’s tolerance for risk and the level of profitability the Group expects to achieve for incurring various credit risks.

Ensure the use of a standardized process for evaluating credit proposals ensuring that all approved credits are within QNB’s Credit Risk Strategy.

Assist the Head of Risk in creating Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the department and monitor their achievement on periodic basis.

Coordinate with Compliance Group to ensure an appropriate response to obtain updates on regulations pertaining to credit risk review that are promulgated by the Central Bank, if any.

Build and maintain strong and effective relationship with the all other related departments and units to achieve the Group’s goals/ objectives.

Provide timely and accurate information to the external and internal auditors and the Compliance function as and when required.

Assist the Head of Risk in the development/ finalization of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) between the respective overseas operations and Head Office units/ departments as and when needed, to the extent they relate to the business functions.

Ensure adherence to the Turnaround Times (TAT) specified in the SLAs.

Perform credit assessments, and provide credit approvals within the authority delegated to the incumbent.

Ensure compliance with established/ approved credit risk policies and procedures and ensure that a sound environment for identifying, measuring, monitoring and controlling credit risk is in place.

Check coordination with business unit Relationship Managers for the timely receipt of customer documents/ other information required to evaluate the credit worthiness of the proposed borrowers.

Supervise the assessment of the credit proposals.

Adequate analyses the various credit risk facets to measure a final credit risk rating including (but not limited to) assessment of the requested facility, guarantees provided, client management and background industry analysis, country analysis, external agency credit rating (if applicable), financial and cash flow analysis and the risk rating from the credit risk rating tool in use.

Based on the assessment, recommend extending or declining the facility request or asking for additional security/ further structuring of the deal/ facility to safeguard the Group’s interests.

Ensure that all credit approvals meet overall policy guidelines and QCB regulations and to stipulate terms and conditions to mitigate the credit risk borne/ faced by the Group.

Work towards improving overall Group credit portfolio by instilling credit risk best practices.

Address/ facilitate correction of any weaknesses identified during assessments, audits, or examinations.

Coordinate activities with business units to ensure the timely processing of customer credit requests within established TATs.

Ensures high standards of confidentiality and ethics to safeguard commercially sensitive information.

All other ad hoc duties and/or activities related to QNB that management might request of the employee from time to time

Maintain utmost confidentiality in regards to customer information gathered in the credit assessment process.

Qualifications:Bachelor degree preferably in finance, economics or related subjects.

Masters or Professional certification such as PRM, CPA, and CFA is preferred.

Sound typically a Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in a major bank of which at least 2 years in bank in a supervisory capacity in risk function

Required Special Skills:

    • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Arabic (preferred).

Role Summary: You will primarily be responsible providing technical assistance to computer system users. You will answer questions or resolve computer problems for clients in person, via telephone or from a remote location. Role Summary: You will be responsible for supervising on a daily basis the activities/ operations of the personnel working under him to ensure timely and accurate processing of all requests pertaining to the section thereby supporting the efforts of the overall department in processing all requests for the Group’s retail/corporate/Govt. entities in an efficient and timely manner. Furthermore, will also assume responsibility for ensuring that personnel responsible for all related operations of the sections adhere to the approved policy/ procedures and related processes and for liaising with the respective internal departments.
Role Description:Ensure complete and accurate processing of all requests received in the department.
Notify the Manager Cheques Management for any related outstanding physical cheques that have not yet been cleared for initiation of timely follow-up in QCB in this regard, and thereby help avoid any losses to the Group on account of such transactions.
Supervise adequate and efficient processing of OBC, Demand Drafts, PDC’s, Pay Orders, Direct Debit and ECC clearing/collection services to internal customers including QNB domestic branches and thereby help them serve external customers including retail/corporate customers in a more efficient manner, resulting in increased external customer satisfaction levels.
Provide inputs to the Manager Cheques Management in the development of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with internal departments/ units to achieve improvements in turnaround time (TAT) with respect to processing of all requests received in the department.
Ensure the continued adherence by department personnel to the established processes and controls (automated/ manual) to prevent/ detect the transfers vide ECC,DD, Pay Order, OBC, Direct debit transfers from potentially suspect countries, banks, individuals, entities to ensure compliance with applicable anti-money laundering (AML) rules/ regulations.
Ensure the continued adherence by department personnel to the existing and approved policies/ procedures pertaining to processing of outward/ inward transfers vide ECC and applicable QCB regulations in this regard.
Ensure reduction in processing errors by staff engaged in ECC related activities through a combination of system controls, supervisory review and established/ approved procedures.
Review and approve the outward/ inward ECC transactions conducted by the Cheques Management officers that fall within the approval powers delegated to her/him.
Provide inputs to the Manager-Cheques Management for improving existing processes in order to keep the operating costs as low as possible/ improve efficiency of operations.
Adhere to the concerned rules for items sent for collection as well as educate staff responsible for processing such transactions of the same.
Obtain approvals from the relevant business heads, as per the authorities delegated to them, before processing returned clearing items, PDC’s, ECC, DD’s, OBC’s, Pay Order, Direct Debit that could result in overdrafts in individual customer accounts.
Ensure any suspicious transactions identified are timely informed to and discussed with the Manager Cheques Management for resolution and if required, reported to the Head of AML (reporting to Group Compliance)Ensure that duly authorized mandates are received from the corporate/ government clients pertaining to clearing items, PDC’s, ECC, DD’s, OBC’s, Pay Order, Direct Debit transfer requests, along with the respective employee-related information, prior to processing such transactions.
