Qualifications

About you:

The applicant should have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent (Degree in engineering, computer applications, commerce, or business administration). You must have minimum 5 years of data engineering experience.  Should have excellent verbal and written communications skills. Also possess good analytical, interpersonal skills and a proven team player.

Skill Sets:

Required

  • 4+ years hands-on data engineering experience in working with big data using technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Python, Scala, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Store, Azure Databricks.
  • Hands-on experience in data modelling, data pipeline design & development
  • Strong technical knowledge of performance tuning and query optimization on large data sets.

Preferred

  • Experience with Data flow diagrams, Data dictionary, Database normalization theory techniques, Entity relation modelling and design techniques.

Baggage Supervisor

As a Baggage Supervisor, you will be esponsible for ensuring that manpower and equipment are allocated, arranged and deployed for handling the operations for every shift in all zones according to the requirement.
You will have to ensure all operational staff work towards achieving the targeted Baggage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) adhering to Safety requirements.
Accountabilities:
In your day to day operations you will be:
  • Preparing allocation of manpower and equipments for the Baggage Team Leader (BTL), GHA III, GHA II and GHA I for arrival and departure flights.
  • Preparing Baggage Arrival Timing report as per the arrival bags handled and send to Baggage Officer on shift for further escalation and reporting.
  • Reguarly interacting with QAS BOC for load planning, misconnection messages, special handling messages like AVI, VIP, and SWP and ensure the same is conveyed to the allocated BTL/GHA III on time to avoid discrepancies or mishandling of bags.
  • Ensuring adequate manpower/equipment are made available at transfer, arrivals, departure and at VIP Baggage area and BTLs at Baggage Hall area are prompt in BRS and bags are delivered to aircraft in the stipulated time.
  • Ensuring that the ULD used for the storage and transportation of baggage is as close as possible to the planned ULD count received from Load Control.
  • Reacting promptly and efficiently to power ALTEA/DCS/Sita Cute/BagScan disruptions in order to ensure continuous, safe and timely service delivery.
  • Ensuring to report any kind of discrepancies or irregularities related to Baggage Handling to the Baggage Officer on shift immediately so that it is immediately investigated and taken care of.

Qualifications

An ideal candidate should have:
  • Minimum of High School Qualification with 5 years of job-related experience.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in the capacity as a qualified baggage Team Leader within the airline industry, of which 2 years should be on a supervisory level.
  • DGP course and QR RHC mandatory.
  • Sound understanding of the Baggage Operations and role of a Ground Handler.
  • Knwledge of Baggage Reconciliation system
  • Good command in both verbal and written. English communication,
  • Basic Supervisory and Interpersonal skills with the ability to interact, mentor and coach staff and representatives of multi-cultural ethnic backgrounds.

Station Support Supervisor

Qatar Airways is currently recruiting for Station Support Supervisor for Ground Services.

The role is responsible for supervision of the team conducting rate validation, supplier query management, vendor invoice reconciliation, quality control & reporting, document creation, administration of generic email box and other tasks, to ensure they are in line with company policies and procedures.

Specific responsibilities of the role include:

  • Ensure the reportees are carrying out the validation of rates in the supplier invoices, matching it to a valid source document – Purchase Order, Contracts, and QCC etc.
  • Communicate and follow up with ASM on any invoice discrepancies.
  • Ensure latest rates are updated to the Ground Services Automated System or in the manual rate sheet document.
  • Ensure unresolved discrepancies/missing data are escalated to Business Finance, where necessary.
  • Manage the automated system concerning supplier services, system rates, discrepancies etc.
  • Escalate any delay in invoice rate validation or approval to the respective Regional Manager Network.
  • Ensure proper communication with I2P team concerning invoicing queries.
  • Guide the team in investigating and resolving assigned queries related to invoices.
  • Highlight and escalate any discrepancies to Regional Managers Network
  • Provide administration support to RASM and ASM
  • Investigate and resolve assigned queries related to invoices
  • Follow up on pending queries and laise with ASM on a daily basis to obtain sufficient and qualitative data to respond to supplier / stakeholder queries
  • Receive, investigate and reconcile supplier invoice with in house system values
  • Facilitate execution and follow-up with relevant stakeholders for on-time submission of documents.
  • Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with minimum 2 years of Job related experience.
  • High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification /Diploma or Equivalent (Type of Diploma Based on Role) with Minimum 3 years of job-related experience
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
