Overview / Job Description

  • Manage the resources and activities necessary to inspect, test, and maintain fire detection and alarm systems.
  • Utilize their knowledge of principles of electronics and electricity; types, capacity and purpose of low voltage circuits, circuit breakers, switches, fuses, regulators, relays, instruments, and meters associated with the skills and ability to inspect, test and maintain fire detection and alarm systems.
  • Interpret instrument and meter readings.
  • Use wiring diagrams, schematics, drawings and technical publications.
  • Use applicable test equipment.
  • Abide by safety rules and practices, and environmental policies.
  • Handle the repair on-site fire alarm and control systems while abiding by all IAW PWS, laws, codes, guidelines, criteria and standards established by international, U.S. government, PWS and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Lead the Fire Technician team and may support the program manning to include, but not limited to assisting in hiring, transfers, terminations, and corrective actions.
  • Provide the highest quality service to the Customer in accordance with program requirements, while maintaining safety as the highest priority to support mission activities in the SOW and be available within 4 hours to meet on the installation with Government personnel as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Requires at least three (3) years of experience in a similar role preferably at a US military installation.
  • Must have direct experience relating to the management of fire alarm and suppression system maintenance and testing.
  • Requires at least three (3) years of supervisory or lead experience.
  • Must have excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and current passport.
  • Must have an Active U.S. Government issued Secret Security Clearance and maintain it for the duration of the contract.

Overview / Job Description

Share responsibility for the performance of work and oversight of all contract matters relating to daily operations of this contract and other duties as assigned and oversight of all facility maintenance services.

Overview / Job Description

  • Install, repair and maintain fire suppression systems.
  • Create a 30-day schedule for an initial site inspection of all facilities.
  • Create and maintain an annual inspection work order database built for detection, alarm and protection systems to establish an inspection schedule.
  • Create and maintain a list of impaired systems, corrective actions needed, outstanding discrepancies and recommendations for system improvements.
  • Perform all quarterly, semi-annual and annual inspections and testing to include exhaust suppression system inspections, tests and semi-annual maintenance on all kitchen ventilation hoods and fire suppression systems in accordance with the PWS, manufacturer’s instructions, applicable NFPA Standards, and UFC 3-601-02.
  • Check all fire extinguishers assigned to that location to include swap out of extinguishers greater than six years old, those that have been used, blown off, or are leaky.
  • Update the database and attach new service tags as required.
  • Attach monthly and annual maintenance tags to each system indicating last inspection date and time and next inspection date due.
  • Maintain a signed and dated log of maintenance/certifications indicating the inspection/cleaning within two days of completion.
  • Handle all data collection of maintenance and inspection activities: date of competion, name of technician performing the work, and the results of the inspection/test performed.
  • ​Perform other duties as assigned.

Overview / Job Description

Amentum is seeking a Power Production Technician for a position located at Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar supporting the Air Force. The Power Production Technician will be performing corrective operations, maintenance, repair and any other duties as assigned to ensure the safe operation of electrical power production and distribution to various base facilities and refueling support services.  This includes diesel generators, gas generators, light cars, automatic transfer panels, and prime power generator.  Duties will be performed IAW technical orders and original equipment manufacturers (OEM) while adhering to all applicable codes and regulations IAW with international, US, Air Force and PWS criteria.

 

The Power Production Technician will prepare outage reports for all outages and for communicating of requirements, testing, outages, with Program leadership and perform any other duties as assigned by the Program leadership team.

The Power Production Technician shall be available within 2 hours to meet on the installation with Government personnel to discuss problem areas.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of three years (3) previous experience at a US Air Force Military Installation with similar mission/project in scope and nature.

Electrical Distribution Technician – Qatar
