Department Overview

The Regional Service Sales Manager will be part of the EMEA Sales organization. The Regional Service Sales Manager is focused on driving demand and closing incremental service growth opportunities and will report into the Regional Sales Lead position. This role will work closely with sub-regional sales leaders, Area Sales Managers (ASM), Account Executives (AE’s), and Regional Service Managers (RSM’s) on target accounts and strategies specifically for managed services and long term lifecycle support agreements across all technologies.

Job Description

Specific activities will include the development of funding strategies, account planning and strategic selling for managed and support services while cultivating and leveraging customer relationships. This position will be heavily weighted toward the development and maintenance of C-level relationships.
This person will direct the efforts of cross-functional teams in the development, execution, and sale of comprehensive managed and support service sales offerings. Examples of opportunities may include Cybersecurity Services, stagnant P25, TETRA systems without a lifecycle SUA program, Radio as a Service and other complex managed services. This role will also be expected to focus on under-penetrated long-term maintenance customers or competitive maintenance agreement customers that the Account Executives have not had success moving.
Other critical responsibilities include the following:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive ‘Add On’ sales plan for each account within the assigned geography covering the Public Safety Applications portfolio of Motorola Smart Public Safety Solution products and services.
  • Assemble and coordinate a diverse team of internal & external pre-sales resources to assess customer needs and address their requirements.
  • Develop strong relationships with key choice makers and influencers within the existing customer base.
  • Develop Motorola procurement vehicles for multiple solutions to be leveraged across an entire “target” account .

Basic Requirements

Specific Knowledge/Skills:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 4+ years of sales/public safety experience OR 8+ years of sales/public safety experience
  • Knowledge of Public Safety operations a plus
  • Some sales experience and must understand Motorola’s full offering of equipment and services.
  • A track record of making or exceeding assigned sales goals.
  • Knowledge and experience with CRM systems, specifically Saleforce.com
  • Experience with Miller-Heiman sales methodology is a plus.
  • Experience selling long-term, large managed service deals as a solution.
  • Demonstrated experience working with C-Level executives is a must.
  • Track record of success in cultivating and managing relationships with government executives, mid-level management, supervisors, and support personnel.
  • Proven experience working with 3rd party lobbyist organizations and developing political action strategies wanted.
  • Strong customer relationship skills required.
  • Excellent communication (oral, written and presentation), interpersonal skills, and problem-solving abilities required.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Ability to establish oneself as a trusted advisor.
  • Highly motivated and results orientated.
