Overview / Job Description

Position Summary:

Seeking a highly motivated and team-oriented SAP Environmental Health and Safety Consultant with experience in compliance with established policies and legal requirements. The candidate must have a strong understanding Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) and having a strong integration knowledge with other components such as warehousing, Logistics, Sales, Transportation Management used in End to End Supply Chain process. The candidate should have at least 8+ years of experience working in an IT organization preferably Biotech, Life Sciences, or related industry in configuring, deploying and managing SAP EHS with integration.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Global Process Owners, Global Process Leads, Solution Design Leads and Value Stream Leads on issue resolution and process design recommendations
  • Identify and implement process improvements.
  • Collaborate with the global customer solutions and GIS team to evaluate support requests.
  • Gather and analyze requirements to determine if the best solution.
  • Provide routine updates to the global team regarding upcoming enhancements, bug fixes, and improvements to the business system to support regulatory audits, efficiency improvements, and additional functionality.
  • Lead and influence cross-functional teams to develop improved processes and communication in support of business initiatives
  • Escalate appropriate decisions making requirements or process “choice points” to Global Process Owner and GIS Leads
  • Ability to articulate or demonstrate perspectives and experiences
  • Open to new ways of working, adopting industry standards and best practices
  • Performs other duties as required

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of SAP EHS experience preferred
  • Experience functional lead with demonstrated capability to work cross teams
  • Around 8 to 10 years of professional experience in Environment, Health and Safety domain.
  • Experience with Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) development and training along with SAP EHS Regulatory Compliance.
  • Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Program (RMP) experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of EHS laws and regulations in addition to auditing experience.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or working toward this or an equivalent status is an added advantage
  • Experience with process implementation of EHS Policies and Systems.
  • Proficient experience in interface development (RFC/ALE/IDoc/Web Services)
  • Extensive experience in analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and documentation
  • Knowledge about system enhancements and configuration

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
  • Field of Study in Computer Science or Information Systems
  • Strong influencing, facilitating, and consulting skills in working with stakeholders at all levels in the organization and across departments
  • Consulting background a plus.
