As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management of assigned projects. You will coordinate and schedule inspections, meetings, specialized trades, and ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Shall manage, monitor, and inspect, document and advise on projects as required.
  • Provides support in the planning, management direction, project completion, client satisfaction, and financial outcome of assigned construction projects.
  • Prepare and submit reports of project status and progress weekly to the SM and COR.
  • Monitor and manage the design and build out of selected new construction, repair, and alteration, and build to suit projects, in traditional delivery modes or alternative modes of design/build type projects from beginning to end.
  • Assist in monitoring project activities, direction, and decisions relative to site selection, design schedules, reviewing Contractor submitted designs, and complete project close-out documentation.
  • Track and analyze Contractor progress schedules in accordance with project SOW.
  • Monitors on-site processes, procedures, and systems for compliance with construction drawings, security requirements, and code compliance.
  • Coordinates and monitors the completion of activities in all phases of the project cycle.
  • Attends meetings weekly and provides official project status reports per the frequency required (daily, weekly, bi-weekly, etc.).
  • Attends inspections and identified events during construction.
  • Provides project management support in any form, demonstrating compliance with all directives and other applicable standards to include records management.
  • Provides technical support daily to all customers, manages electronic documents, serves as the liaison for other customer groups related to all projects, provides expertise, monitors security related issues, and maintains a coordinating relationship with the government agency, its clients, and external partners to include the architect-engineers, construction contractors, and other contractors supporting the government.
  • Utilizes interpersonal skills to successfully work with all stakeholders including customers, regulators, and property owners.
  • Assists with the transition of projects to those customers responsible for ongoing maintenance of space.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in project management, construction science, construction engineering, or building science.
  • 7 years of experience in Project Management.
  • Must have working knowledge of construction materials and processes.
  • Must be able to read and understand architectural, engineering and shop drawings associated with assigned projects.
  • Must utilize AutoCAD to review and interpret Contractor submittals, draft in-house plans, and details, and to modify existing AutoCAD drawings.

License & Certifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Other desirable certifications include Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) and/or Certified Construction Manager (CCM).

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Experience using MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project) to effectively schedule and communicate all aspects of project requirements.
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams to work within various settings.
  • Must be objective, flexible, and responsive to change and understand the complexities of a changing work environment.

Overview / Job Description

Must be US Citizen – Position located in Qatar

As the MILCON Special Project Liaison, you will be responsible for assisting with the development of project specific details and the preparation and coordination of design work for MILCON projects. Will work with a team of government and contract engineers, surveyors and technicians to ensure customer satisfaction and successful project completion.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Act as the MILCON/Special Projects Liaison with US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) or other design and operating agencies as required.
  • Work with AFCEC and USACE to identify and analyze problems and develop technical solutions.
  • Work with other AUAB units to analyze problems and develop technical solutions as needed.
  • Attend all meetings and inspections pertaining to assigned projects.
  • Provide summary reports, punch list items and meeting minutes to the Government within two (2) working days after each event.
  • May coordinate and develop information sharing or dissemination efforts needed to establish and maintain project schedules for all MILCON projects.
  • May include occasional presentations to US and host nation military officials

 EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s in project management.
  • Minimum four (4) years of project management experience.

 LICENSE & CERTIFICATIONS:

  • PMP preferred

 TRAVEL:  Position located on-site in Qatar.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Associates Degree in Construction Management, or 15 Years of Experience in Construction Field
  • Must have experience in civil/structural projects
  • American Concrete Institute (ACI) concrete testing certification, preferred (Successful Candidate will be required to have/obtain)

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • The SM shall have full authority to act for the Contractor on all TO matters relating to daily operation of this TO.

  • Tracks, analyzes, and trend projects costs.
  • Reviews and approves invoicing for customer, based on contract type, terms and conditions.
  • Fosters partnership with customer and collaborative management with all stakeholders.
  • Identifies and pursues new business opportunities or contract growth opportunities.
  • Develops and implements a comprehensive food operation plan that incorporates movement from current DFAC operations to cafeteria style delivery
  • Responsible for hiring and managing all American personnel associated with food operations
  • Uses, develops, and applies industry standard and proven best practice methodologies to ensure continued performance improvement of all food related activities and delivery of timely and high- quality services.
  • Full understanding and implementation of ServSafe and HAACP standards for food service
  • Works collaboratively with PMO staff to ensure responsiveness and high customer satisfaction
  • Ability to design and manage food service operations including food menu preparation, menu planning, catering services and overall food service management.
  • Ability to manage and amend subcontracts and SOWs as directed
  • Solid financial knowledge regarding food cost, transportation, and labor
  • Demonstrated knowledge of logistics as it pertains to perishable and food items
  • Demonstrated ability and comfort with technical writing and presentation.
  • Determines staffing requirements for U.S. nationals and Other Country Nationals (OCNs)Oversee food service personnel processes and procedures.  Establishes standards for food service personnel performance and customer service

  • Estimates food and beverage consumption at each facility and develops procurement solution anticipating amounts of food and beverages to be purchased on regular basis

  • Coordinates with Logistics for successful movement of food by ground and air as needed
  • Schedules and receives food and beverage deliveries, checking delivery contents to verify product quality and quantity
  • Manages international subcontracted buyers to procure fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, fish, canned/dry good, frozen food, beverages, equipment, and consumable supplies
  • Investigates and resolves complaints regarding food quality, service, or accommodations
  • Monitors budgets and payroll records.  Reviews financial transactions for compliance with authorized and budgeted expenditures
  • Manages team of equipment maintenance personnel responsible for food equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, forklifts, ovens, stoves, cooking pots, shelving, tables, chairs, utensils
  • Monitors compliance with health and fire regulations regarding food preparation and serving, food shipment and delivery and building maintenance in lodging and dining facilities
  • Monitors employee liquor consumption for conformance with regulations.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in business administration, food service, hospitality, nutrition or related field or equivalent experience.

  • Experience in OCONUS environments, is particularly desirable
