Overview / Job Description

We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager, Localization to increase our localization footprint and help scale our localization ecosystem through the optimization of agile and scalable localization processes across Hootsuite’s diverse portfolio of products and services. You’ll be working closely with our Localization leader, Product Directors, Product Managers, Engineers and Designers to prioritize and ensure we ship a world-ready product and deliver a best-in-class customer experience to our international audience. You will be seen as a collaborative asset across the organization and a subject matter expert in our product’s global capabilities, value propositions and the needs of our global audience.

This role can be based remotely across Canada and USA in accordance with Hootsuite’s local employment entities.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Represent the product & roadmap priorities in an approachable and collaborative spirit, including with senior-level internal stakeholders
Question the status quo and make contributions aimed at optimizing our localization program’s agility and scalability for Hootsuite teams including Marketing and Sales
Contribute to scalable localization processes for Product, Marketing and Sales planning, prioritization, and execution
Collaborate with Product Marketing and Customer Support to effectively bring functionality to market and drive business value
Effectively synthesize data from customers, competitors, analysts, and commercial activities into meaningful signals that inform and validate localization investments
Help educate stakeholders around localization and guide teams across Hootsuite to ensure localization best practices are followed to minimize downstream issues, reduce costs and enable sim-shipment of product releases
Lead and manage localization projects, working closely with our Localization leader, product management, development, cross-functional partners and external vendors
Set, track and be accountable to Localization KPIs and ROI at a program level
Build strong partnerships with our Localization vendors to ensure that the right resources are in place and all deliveries are completed at the expected standards
Respond to internal feedback for localization and translation improvements
Deliver and present impactful presentations to higher management to demonstrate business impact/value of localization and share ROI data
Perform other related duties as assigned

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

A post-secondary degree in computer science, localization management, business and/or engineering, or equivalent work experience and 6+ years experience of product localization
Solid experience designing and executing Sales and Marketing GTM strategies
Successful track record on planning and running localization projects that support product releases, and ideally sales, marketing, or multimedia content
Solid experience with localization platforms and CAT tools – such as Smartling, SDL Trados Studio, Idiom WorldServer, or any similar in-house localization tools and TMS that manages and/or automates the translation workflow
