Key responsibilities

  • Identifying and addressing the financial impact of business decisions and strategic initiatives, ability to analyse and forecast business impacts.
  • Partners in business and make recommendations based on analyses to the business units and senior management. Works with the Business Unit Finance team in aligning on decisions and recommendations.

About the role:

As Safety Officer Investigation, you will help us achieve the following:

  • Respond to reported airside incidents, accidents, near misses, and hazards at Hamad and Doha International Airports to ascertain that the airfield safety operations are appropriately carried out in conformance with MATAR SMS provisions and relevant standard procedures. In the interest of accident prevention, participate in the full investigation process and the preparation and release of final investigation reports as soon as possible and disseminate them to the concerned parties.
  • Collate, review and safely keep daily activity reports, accident/incident/near-miss reports, and fault/deficiency reports. On daily bases, brief the Line Manager on the previous day’s incidents or other safety deficiencies.
  • Collect evidences and review relevant procedures in order to determine the appropriate conclusions based on the facts. Determine the root causes, contributory factors and formulate the safety recommendations to prevent future occurrences.
  • Consult and liaise with stakeholders’ representatives to clarify any ambiguity during an investigation.
  • Maintain the airport occurrences’ database up to date and assist in the preparation of periodic and annual statistical and performance reports.
  • Monitor and record the initial response to airport emergencies involving aircraft or vehicular accidents and other safety issues at the airside.
  • Prepare initial investigation reports by collecting relevant, accurate, and timely information through interviewing the involved personnel and witnesses, taking pictures, and evaluating the incident site in order to clarify the context for the unsafe acts, events, and conditions. Communicate the initial incidents’ report to the concerned parties for further investigation and feedback.

About You:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 3 years of job-related experience.
  • Attended Safety Management System courses from ICAO/ACI/IATA and/or other safety training courses
  • Experience in incident/accident investigation

As a Manager Events and Sponsorships, you will be responsible for helping us achieve this ambition through:

Coordinating all local and global sponsorship efforts, and corporate promotional events for Hamad International Airport. It will focus on developing relationships with new sponsors, and for managing existing relationships, as well as leading external and internal events at the airport, in coordination with all relevant stakeholders, to enrich and drive HIA’s brand activation strategy.

  • Set up comprehensible sponsorship strategy and guidelines for the company, to make strategic partnership decisions, which are aligned to the company’s overall short and long-term goals.
  • Develop framework of monitoring event management from concept to delivery to ensure they are delivered as per HIA standards and with approved budgets.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with current and potential sponsorship partners by ensuring objectives of both parties are met and keeping updated on upcoming opportunities in order to maintain the company’s profile.
  • Initiate HIA brand activation plan (Digital – Physical), to leverage passenger experience.
  • Leading all sponsorship negotiations and ensuring timely renewals, reviews or mid-term negotiations.

Qualifications

As Senior Manager Fire Life Safety, you will be responsible for helping us achieve this ambition:

  • Oversee the design and construction of fire safety compliance works and guide the MATAR Major Projects Department (MPD) team in meeting the statutory and regulatory requirements for fire safety.
  • Develop middle to long term strategy for the MPD fire safety
  • Develop fire safety compliance strategy for the major projects at MATAR
  • Provide guidance to MPD management on compliance with the statutory requirements and in the development of strategies to demonstrate and achieve exemplar fire safety
  • Drive audit of fire safety compliance strategy by planning and delivering a program of fire safety audit and inspection to ensure compliance.
  • Conducting risk assessment for MPD by evaluating the adequacy of control measures in place prior to authorizing works to ensure any fire risk is managed properly.
  • Review, disseminate and implement MPD Fire Safety Policy in all project works
  • Act as a single point of contact between MATAR MPD and the authorities having jurisdiction, i.e. Ministry of Interior, Qatar Civil Defense Department
  • Oversee and monitor the activities of MPD’s consultant, PMCMs in the physical construction and delivery of the facilities

As a Lead operations data and performance analyst, you will be responsible for helping us achieve this ambition through:

By the performance analysis (proactive and reactive), validation and reporting of AOCC operational data in order to support decision making for procedural and conceptual improvements.  The job also enhances the monitoring of the AOCC personnel performance on OPS data handling and hard resources allocation actions, with the scope to achieve a deeper insight on the improvement capabilities.  Furthermore, the job plays a key role on the transformation of the AOCC reporting scheme.

  • Provide technical expertise to the information system team in major application deployment by assisting in designing process to arrive at high performance and optimal operational solutions.
  • Develop consolidate operational dashboards, analyze and report of hard resources allocation related data and trends to the management team based on AOCC actions (real time vs planning, historic, etc.)
  • Reduce manual operational jobs by ensuring automation of as many operational procedures for monitoring and supporting the day of operation responsibilities of AOCC.
  • Develop supporting material and perform training to raise the data driven approach to decision making.
  • Produce reports and analysis on internal performance of the AOCC department and AOCC personnel against the set KPls and other performance metrics.  Ensure that this information is timely, accurate and highlights areas of opportunity or risk.
  • To proactively research of operational issues to determine a source of data discrepancy or a trend and identify solutions for prevention of future discrepancy.
