Overview / Job Description

    • Key responsibilities:

      • Lead operations planning for the Guest Management & Protocol functional area, in close collaboration with FIFA and other stakeholders.
      • Support Guest Management Manager to create and establish Concepts of Operations & policies and procedures while ensuring compliance of Q22 Policy with national policy for heads of state and government officials. Communicate Guest Management Policies and Operational Plans to all relevant stakeholders.
      • Develop and support guest management and protocol service levels as agreed between all stakeholders.
      • Establish a Guest Operations Team and delegate tasks as per the event scope. Work closely with all team members to align on all logistical requirements
      • Support & develop milestone setting and key activity matrixes for each event; manage the workflow by assessing priorities and communicating them to the team.
      • Ensure management of VIP Guests (local & international) is according to agreed operational plans.
      • Oversee coordination with Arrivals and Departures Team, Airport Authority regarding all the airport operations such as meet & greet, Immigration and; transfer from airport to hotel.
      • Support the Guest Management Manager to formulate the annual budget and ensure the periodic review of operational elements.
      • Participate in monthly Tournament Master Schedule (TMS) review with team / FIFA and assist Guest Management Manager in monitoring and ensuring compliance to the departmental budget.
      • Any other duties that may be required.

      Qualifications

      • Bachelors or Masters’ Degree in Management, Sport Management/Business, Marketing & Communications, Hospitality ideal

      Experience:

      • 7+ Years Protocol and Guest Management Experience

      Skills:

      • English fluency – spoken and written (required)
      • Arabic fluency – an advantage
      • Advanced skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project)
      • Planning software and online collaboration tools (an asset)
      • Good understanding of organisational processes and policies;
      • Ability to shape and deliver operational excellence in teams
      • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
      • A collaborator who is able to foster good working relationships;
      • Excellent organisational and planning skills;
      • Good networking skills;
      • Time management and the ability to prioritize a varied workload;
      • Good understanding of budgets and financial management
