Fidelity’s Associate IT is looking for an innovative individual who wants to deliver ambitious IT services. We are a dynamic group of engineers looking to demonstrate modern technologies to rapidly improve the efficiency and experience of Fidelity’s associates. We are working in continuous harmony across multiple IT areas to change the way our associates work and collaborate!

The ideal candidate will be able to translate System Engineering infrastructure requirements into automated and/or orchestrated solutions that can be used at scale and reduce administrative overhead. You will work closely with Product Managers, Team Leads, System Analysts and Systems Engineers to develop requirements, craft and implement solutions. You will play a key role in establishing DevOps standard methodologies and leading Systems Engineers to adopt a ‘code first’ mentality.

The Expertise We are Looking for:

  • Validated experience designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-wide products and solutions
  • Strong understanding of End User Computing technologies including and not limited to end user devices/platform and cloud technologies
  • Full stack software engineering with 5+ years of experience
  • Experience working with public cloud providers (e.g., Azure, AWS)
  • Experience working with Systems Engineering teams to build and deliver solutions
  • Focus on applying a long-term mentality to help produce scalable, maintainable solutions
  • Ability to operate in a self-managed role
  • Familiar with Agile Methodologies preferred
  • Incorporate software development standard methodologies from across the enterprise
  • Curiosity about developing unions Software Engineers in the company to align with standard methodologies, tooling, etc.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Committed to teamwork and transparency in your work
  • Partner with the engineering and architecture team to provide strategic analysis, thought leadership, and development of multi-year roadmaps and measures that ensure technology evolution and improvement over time.
  • Strong presentation and writing skills

The Skills you Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience planning, engineering, designing & delivering enterprise systems
  • Proven track record of success in engineering, developing, and delivering solutions for enterprise systems
  • Deep knowledge of and extensive experience with Microsoft’s enterprise platform.
  • Demonstrated leadership in developing and propagating best practices for management of enterprise systems through the full lifecycle from planning to retirement
  • Clear and innovative thinker, with excellent collaboration and communications skills.

In the PRINCIPAL ENGINEER role, you will make a key impact on the branch culture by partnering with associates to help clients reach their goals.

From the moment clients arrive at the Investor Center, you will own providing Fidelity’s best-in-class experience for them throughout their visit inspiring client dedication and engagement in order to develop long-lasting positive relationships with Fidelity.

We will help you obtain your FINRA series 7 and series 63 licenses allowing you to provide fundamental financial guidance.

The Expertise We’re Looking For

  • A college degree is encouraged yet not required
  • We feel customer service, sales, phone or financial services experience will prepare you for this role
  • Banking, insurance, or financial experience is an excellent addition to your experience
  • Your passion for delivering a world-class customer experience and desire to be an excellent ambassador to Fidelity’s clients
  • Superb interpersonal, customer interaction and communication skills
  • We’ll support you while you learn the FINRA licensing material and work to obtain your Series 7 & 63 licenses during your first six months

Setting the tone so that visiting customers feel that the Investor Center is accessible, has warmth, and is a place that they can ask questions is paramount to contributing to client success.
