We’re looking for an experienced electrical engineer to bring new products to market. You’ll be part of a small, mission-driven team and have significant ownership over decisions. We’re growing quickly so there are ample opportunities for career growth.
This role is available in both the San Francisco and New York City, with a hybrid model of remote and on-site work.
How you’ll contribute
Architect and design consumer electronic devices incorporating microcontrollers, SoCs, wireless transceivers, motor drivers, sensors, audio and LED drivers.
Collaborate with mechanical engineering, embedded software, industrial design, manufacturing, and product team members to develop products from early stage concepts to mass production.
Drive all aspects of electrical design including schematic capture, layout, bring-up and characterization, production test coverage, and reliability testing.
Perform analysis and simulation required to ensure designs will meet requirements.
Work with vendors and manufacturing teams to solve quality, cost, and yield issues.
Define testing requirements, fixtures, and equipment to qualify the functionality of components and assemblies for mass production.
What you need to succeed
8+ years of consumer product design experience with knowledge of wireless and electromechanical systems integrating sensors, cameras, pumps, fans, motors, speakers and LEDs.
Mixed analog and digital design and layout experience.
Familiarity with ECAD packages (Altium, OrCAD, etc.).
Understanding of safety and regulatory compliance (UL, FCC, etc.).
Knowledge of high-volume SMT and flex PCB manufacturing processes.
Understanding of DOE, root cause, statistical analysis and other quality measuring techniques.
Experience working on-site and remotely with vendors in Asia.
BSEE or equivalent. MS preferred
