What we’re looking for you to do:

  • Demonstrate a passion for Fashion/Style, Sport/Hype Lifestyle Culture, and/or Outdoor Adventure showing a keen knowledge of these consumers and a focus on their shopping and buying habits
  • Deliver compelling design concepts that meet the design brief(s), under the direction of the Director of Color, Materials, and Graphics
  • Considered design approach that targets both the most forward-thinking, explorer and feel-good consumers from a global perspective
  • Consumer obsessed, turning insight to action with the Crocs DNA at the forefront
  • Deliver color development, print design, and technical spec drawings for all projects in a timely manner
  • Work with overseas suppliers to develop and finalize new color development
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product Development, Category Management, and Merchandising

Your experience should include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Apparel, Footwear, and/or Print and Pattern Design or related field
  • Minimum 2+ years of relevant design experience
  • Experience creating unique print and pattern designs through hand sketching or computer rendered in Illustrator and/or Photoshop is a plus
  • Strong understanding and proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Powerpoint experience, is a plus
  • An elevated, trend relevant aesthetic for color and print design, with an acute eye for detail
  • Ability to travel domestically & internationally

The Associate Merchantwill act as a key support within the Global Merchandising team focusing on a key business or category to deliver excellent execution of the Global Merchandising strategies and plans. This role will act as a voice of Global Merchandising, supporting the creation of the merchandising vision for Crocs, the industry-leading casual footwear brand specializing in comfortable, fun, innovative and irreverent product lines crafted to surprise and delight our millions of dedicated Crocs fans and future Crocs fans.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the implementation of global tools and processes that drive brand cohesion and alignment to the strategic merchandising plan.
  • With direction from their leader, implement Channel and Category methodologies that are data driven and consumer focused,
  • Act as the global champion for their channel/category improving their business with a focus on performance indicators and creating significant impact with the consumer.
  • Clear and regular communication with global and regional cross-functional partners including Merchandising, Planning, Marketing, Product Management, Design, and Development.
  • Provide a clear point of view on individual SKU commerciality and contribute to the finalization of the global all-channel assortment including colorways, suggested retail prices, market segmentation/distribution, and marketing style selection.
  • Gain a current in-depth understanding of the global footwear landscape and identify and validate product needs, opportunities, and gaps.
  • Assist with the alignment and execution of seasonal key stories in product, product placement/zoning, and marketing.
  • Maintain assortment planning tool, with defined channel segmentation guidance, style prioritization, climate and store size directives and product life cycle guidance.
  • Supervise the business results, competitive landscape, and cultural/consumer trends for wins to maximise, misses to mitigate, and white space opportunities to exploit. Translate lessons into future strategies, plans, and tactics to ensure we consistently keep pace with the consumer.
  • Ensure all milestone deliverables, deadlines, and data are meeting expectations for timeliness and accuracy.
  • Perform regular sell-in and sell-through analysis to inform Merchandising Financial Plan and Assortment Plan.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • College or University degree preferred but not required
  • 2-4 years of dynamic experience in merchandising, product creation and/or retail; footwear experience preferred
  • Consistent record of communicating and carrying out merchandising strategies
  • Consistent record to lead an open to buy process, exceptional retail math skills
  • Proven ability to optimally work in a highly cross-functional matrix environment
  • Knowledge of international fashion/trends with the ability to translate into commercial concepts
  • Strong organizational, analytical and time management skills
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in English required
