The Corix team has an opportunity for a Project Manager in Vancouver, BC. This position is responsible for planning and overseeing Utilities projects and initiatives to ensure they are completed in accordance with contract documents, safety policies, on schedule, within budget and of Corix quality standards. Plan and identify resources, prepare budgets, track and monitor progress, and provide progress reports. This is all done within the confines of Corix’s goals and vision.

What you’ll do

Major Accountabilities

Work with Legal and support staff prepares and manages the complete project Tender/RFQ/RFP process. Prepares and negotiates revisions/changes/additions to contractual agreements with sub-contractors, clients, and consultants. epares and manages complete project Tender/RFQ/RFP process
Manage general contractors and identifies cost saving measures and potential construction problems in the planning phase of a project, and to raise and discuss relevant issues at job site meetings
Track and manages the projects financial health, forecasts project expenditures and provides progress reports. Makes adjustments to the project to keep within budget, schedule and quality.
Consult with the operations group to ensure commissioning is successful, documentation is compete and handover of the project is successful.

General Responsibilities

Prepare project schedules, general condition budgets, and reports such as cost forecasting summaries, and manages all RFI, SI, CCO, CO, CD and CN costs and maintain CO logs
Assist senior management with project development, proposal preparation and submission, and budget estimation and preparation, ensuring proper project constructability
Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects, engineers, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
Ensure effective communication between consultants/clients/trades people. Interprets and explain plans and contracts terms to administrative staff, workers, and clients, representing the owner or developer. Ensures that as-built drawings are prepared and maintained on an ongoing basis by all trades during construction
Monitor and maintains project construction schedules, expediting all shop drawings and approvals to ensure timelines are achieved, and maintains and enforces construction standards and quality control
Inform consultants of any errors, discrepancies or omissions contained within the consultants design drawings and specifications and ensures issues are resolved
Monitor site safety, ensuring all project specific permitting and licensing is in place and all requirements of OHSE are in compliance, and manages all independent testing and inspections as required
Review and approve all project related monthly progress draws and invoicing
Prepare and expedite project deficiency lists
Perform other related duties as required

What you bring

Minimum 5 years related PM experience

Education and Certifications

Post-Secondary Mechanical, Civil or Architectural Degree or equivalent
Member or eligible to be a member of a Professional Organization e.g. EGBC

Nice to Have

PMP and LEED qualifications would be an asset
