Position Overview

A challenging and exciting reporting design and build role in the Institutional Services team of a leading funds industry provider, providing quantitative performance measurement The team provides custom reports that include, but are not limited to, fund performance analytics. The role provides a unique opportunity to work closely with a wide range of structured products in many currencies on a global scale and to understand the fund industry’s evolving performance management needs.

Responsibilities

• Direct data analysts on daily, monthly and quarterly service delivery, including metrics tracking, root cause analysis of issues, proactively managing enhancement requests and working with Client Service team on reporting
• Work with Jersey City Client Service team on team schedule and coverage, including support for team absences, holidays and/or monthly deliverable windows
• Update management on team performance, individual growth opportunities, and training requirements
• Work with Client Service management to coordinate updates to clients, including attendance of client facing meetings, updates and contributing towards ongoing projects.
• Liaise with all Citco LOBs to identify additional data sources required to facilitate advanced reporting
• Liaise with Citco Risk on new reporting requirements, including custom reports and calculations
• Manage monthly collection of benchmark data used for performance reporting and analytics, including oversight for composite/custom benchmarks in the reporting system
• Onboard new fund investments, including subscription docs and limited partner agreements, for required data such as dealing terms and manager fees
• Process and validate monthly accounting data from Citco Fund Accounting team in reporting system monitoring market values, P&L, uncommitted capital, actual vs. booked values, etc.
• Manage quarterly collection of underlying portfolio company data for lookthrough reporting of drawdown investments
• Manage monthly collection of hedge fund, private equity, private real estate, and mutual fund manager documents and analytics
• Collate data from a variety of sources in order to facilitate advanced reporting

Qualifications

• 5 years working experience in alternative asset investment reporting required
• 2 years experience as a team lead/manager with people management responsibilities required
• Knowledge of performance reporting including different return methodologies and calculations required
• Experience reviewing fund documents, including both hedge fund subscription documents and private equity-style limited partner agreements
• Effective oral and written communication skills with client-facing experience; the ability to deliver complex information objectively for open discussion and follow up with an opinion or recommendation
• Strong work ethic, comfort with learning new systems in a small tight-knit team environment
• Knowledge of endowment-style portfolios and multi-asset allocation, including equity, fixed income, swaps/derivatives, hedge fund, and private equity asset classes preferred
• Familiarity with multiple data formats (JSON, XML, CSV, etc.)
• Extremely strong Microsoft Excel skills required
• VBA or Python preferred
