Burlington Stores, Inc. is seeking a Construction Project Manager to be based in the Mid United States Region. Preferred home base locations- Dallas, Ft. Worth, TX, Chicago, IL, and/or Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Colorado, Nebraska – with access to a major airport within reasonable commutable distance.
This position requires 5-7 years of experience in multi-site retail construction project management, and the ability to travel 75-80% of the time. The successful candidate will have experience with a fast-paced retailer, managing multiple concurrent new store and remodel construction projects.

The Construction Project Manager’s responsibilities span a broad spectrum, covering all areas of project management, project planning, cost management, time management, quality management, and contract administration.

Major responsibilities include:

  • Oversee construction projects from start to finish.
  • Coordinate the efforts of all parties involved in the project which include the architects, contractors, laborers, procurement.
  • Monitor the progress of the construction activities on a regular basis and hold regular status meetings with contractor to ensure project delivery according to project-specific schedule.
  • Maintain strict adherence to budgetary guidelines & quality and safety standards.
  • Conduct weekly/bi-weekly inspection of construction sites.
  • Ensure project documents are complete and conform to Burlington standards.
  • Articulate the roles and responsibilities of the external/internal team members and work with/through others for delivery.

Candidates must have at least a high school diploma, 7-10 years’ experience in construction, and 5-7 years in multi-site retail project management. Strong construction knowledge a must. Must be able to travel 75-80% of the time. Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and web-based applications required. Must be adaptable to learning new technologies as needed.
