Overview / Job Description

Brand I.D. ( is a sustainable packaging and custom trim supplier for the world’s most identifiable brands. Working with over 500 brands, from Under Armour to Kate Spade to Bass Pro Shops, we design everything with our customers in mind and have created an ordering, manufacturing and distribution system that offers them complete control.

This is a full time remote position, however only applicants who reside in CA, AZ, CO, FL, MD, MI, NC, OR and WA will be considered.

A Product Developer at Brand ID is responsible for managing the development of Brand ID products for various assigned customer accounts. Products include, but are not limited, to apparel trim and consumer goods packaging such as retail and ecommerce components. Product Developers are account facing, and will facilitate the development of products that meet or exceed customer account’s aesthetic intents and cost targets. They will work directly with both Sales Representatives assigned to customer accounts and their Hong Kong Product Developer counterparts. It is critical to solve any development issues quickly, and work with the customer accounts to strengthen our relationships and promote account growth.

Ideal candidates will have experience in developing apparel trims and/or packaging specifically.

Product development experience and an understanding of the apparel industry is a must. We are looking for someone who is self-sufficient, proactive and has a passion for development and problem solving. Other key skills include prioritization, and the ability to learn new systems quickly. Not only is development detail oriented, Brand ID uses Salesforce to record all information. This person should have excellent written and verbal communication skills as the role is cross-functional for account customers, Sales Representatives and Hong Kong Product Developers. This position will report directly to the US Product Development Manager.

  •  Internal communication between cross-functional teams including Design team, Sales Team, Hong Kong Product Developers.
  • Creatively finding and suggesting new product solutions for our accounts by offering new materials or products that will suit their needs.
  • Capturing product details in Salesforce.
  • Setting and attending virtual meetings with accounts.
  • Answering questions from accounts relating to product development or production.
  • Organizing and managing data and artworks received from the accounts.
  • Checking on the status of samples and production. Maintaining and managing ETAs for timely delivery.
  • Pricing reviews and negotiating targets on behalf of the account.
  • Following up on sample approvals with accounts.
  • Procuring and reviewing reference materials from accounts.
  • Adding colorways to items.
  • Creating production art requests to ensure accurate representation of products.
  • Customer service related issues, including, but not limited to directing accounts to our Support Team for ordering questions, and assisting with locating and identifying item codes.
  • Setting up and working through Third Party Testing requests and Application Instructions.
  • Sample Reviews.
  • Organizing, documenting and sharing product knowledge.
  • Educating peers on any new information you are able to collect or already have related to development and product knowledge.
  • Attending virtual Product Development team meetings


  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree and (or) relevant work experience in the Apparel Market.
  • Fashion/Apparel degree strongly preferred.
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience or relevant work experience in the Apparel Market.
  • Experience working effectively in complex global organizations, satisfying the needs of diverse constituents and often working under the pressure of competing and sometimes conflicting priorities.
  • Extreme curiosity and interest in how things work paired with strong creativity to improve and solve a challenge.
  • Self-motivated, who likes to develop and implement new ideas and processes.
