Are you ready to take on a vital role in leading the growth of Food Service within targeted channels directly and through distributors? If so, then you could be our new Senior sales executive in Food Service responsible for account planning, execution and delivering on performance targets for the accounts assigned to you. In this challenging job you will work out of our Arla Foods Qatar office, and you will report to the Sales Manager, Food Service.

As a Senior Sales Executive,  you will develop, manage and implement account specific activity plans to meet budgeted volumes and margin in alignment with overall business unit strategy. You will grow the business through new product introduction to existing and new customers, deliver annual sales target, continuously analyse customer development, define and maximize business development opportunities. More specifically your key responsibilities would be :

  • Manages a group of customers to achieve designated sales target levels.
  • Develops profitable business with new customers
  • Possesses and applies detailed category and product knowledge as well as thorough knowledge of client’s business.
  • Responsible for the direct sales process, aiming at meeting and/or exceeding sales targets.
  • In charge of sales expansion, introducing new products/services to clients and organizing visits to current and potential clients.
  • Submits short and long-range sales plans and prepares sales strategies using available marketing programs to reach designated targets.
  • Responsible for retaining long-term customer relationships with established clients.
  • Ensures that clients receive high-quality customer service.
  • Informs the clients about new products and services as they are introduced.
  • Passes on information to appropriate sales representatives when clients have additional service needs.

Solid sales experience in the Food Service channel

You have Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Food Technology, Sales or Marketing, an MBA is a plus. You have at least 3 -5  years relevant experience in Sales within Food Service in Qatar market. You have strong business development skills, proven track record of achieving sales targets and background in handling big Food service contracts and deals.  Experience within dairy is an advantage. You must have excellent interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to work under pressure.  You are results oriented and must have significant knowledge of channel, field sales, product and distributor management. Fluency  in Arabic and English is must.

It will be your responsibility to develop key customers and improve customer base, reach the monthly and yearly target by ensuring the improvement of sales in respective areas and ensure cooperation agreements with key customers are aligned with company policy.Your challenges
            • Overall sales and profit responsibility for retail customers.
            • Optimizing the efficiency of the retail BU organization.
            • Develop customer relations on all levels.
            • Responsible of business development agreements with key accounts.
            • Maximize distribution and visibility of the appropriate product range.
            • Conduct periodical sales meetings as per the schedule at different levels – Area Manager level, Supervisor level and Salesman level.
            • Provide input to marketing department on consumer promotion plan.
            • Sales progress meetings with major retail customers.
            • Create the budget / forecast estimate and review as decided by the management.
            • Create and monitor the trade marketing budget estimate for the year.
            • Identify the key objectives for the business unit.
            • Obtain and monitor an up to date record of the market trends in relation to go to market approach, remuneration, competitor’s activity and retail development.
            • Responsible for permanent and temporary display budget.
            • Ensure that all staffs are strictly complying with Arla Procedures & Guidelines.
            • Organize / Approve yearly vacation plan and vacation replacement for sales staff
            • Responsible for all sales staff in BUM (recruitment/ appraisal / development).
            • Prepare plans (expansion) to improve business in BU.
            • Control and approve targets and sales commission.
            • Motivate sales teams to reach or exceed sales targets.

            Your profile

            You hold a minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Commercial , Business Administration or similar and have at least 4-5 years of experience as a Sales Manager within the FMCG industry. You have a very good understanding of the development and enabling of the key account organization thus ensuring an agile and motivated sales team marketing of products/brands and value chain. You are self-driven and strife towards exceeding targets at all levels. A strong impact, excellent stakeholder management skills and attention to details are necessary qualities.
