Job summary
Are you a Windows Server guru, SQL Server master or enjoy building in PowerShell or .NET? We’re looking for a passionate problem solver with Microsoft infrastructure or application development skillsets to help AWS customers architect innovative solutions on AWS. Based on your unique skillset, you will be considered for roles within the Microsoft on AWS Specialist Organization across the United States to join our teams across our various business groups.

As a Solutions Architect for the Microsoft on AWS Specialist Organization, you will partner with Sales, Professional Services, and other AWS teams to design flexible, scalable and resilient cloud architectures that solve customer business problems. Another important function of the Solutions Architect role is collaborating with AWS Service Teams, providing critical customer feedback to build the next generation of Microsoft on AWS services.

Key job responsibilities
Your broad responsibilities will include: owning the Microsoft on AWS technical pre-sales engagements; engaging with customer’s executive decision makers; helping customers migrate, optimize and modernize their Microsoft infrastructure and applications. The Microsoft on AWS Solutions Architect also provides Thought Leadership in the form of speaking at public events, publishing technical content (blogs, videos, white papers) and sharing your deep expertise in Microsoft on AWS services with customers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications or infrastructures
  • 8+ years within specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering/Technical studies or equivalent related job experience
  • 4+ years experience Solutioning and Architecting Windows infrastructure, SQL database architecture, or .NET software development in public, private or hybrid clouds
  • 2+ years of decision-maker engagement such as pre-sales or consulting

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • AWS and/or Microsoft certifications
  • Knowledge of cloud services, cloud native design and/or cloud implementation experience
  • Experience in one or more of the following: Datacenter migration(s), Networking, Compute, Active Directory, Containers, Storage, Security
  • Knowledge of Microsoft licensing

Job summary
Amazon’s Worldwide Communications organization is seeking an intuitive, self-motivated, and creative Executive Assistant to support a Director who leads the Retail Public Relations team. The ideal candidate for this position has a history of superior attention to detail, organization, handling confidential information, and can demonstrate a keen ability to respond effectively to changing workloads and priorities.

This Executive Assistant role will be responsible for managing complex calendars, planning and organizing events of all sizes, assist with tools and processes to keep the teams coordinated and connected, support various ad hoc projects, and act as a general liaison between team members and leadership. This role will partner with our leaders, business partners, and a team of Executive Assistants to complete key deliverables. A high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information, and professionalism in dealing with senior professionals inside and outside of Amazon is required. A successful candidate will foster a positive work environment and establish working relationships inside and outside of their team. A relentless bias for action and a strong ability to communicate at all levels is necessary, as is a good sense of humor.

Key job responsibilities

• Complex calendar management, meeting prioritization, large-scale meeting coordination
• Completing expense reports
• Travel coordination, including domestic and international
• Track and help drive completion of key deliverables and following up on outstanding items
• Proactively coordinate and engage with leadership in planning and organizing events
• Drive key team activities (such as staff meetings, team morale events, and offsites)
• Partner with other assistants throughout the team and across the rest of the company
• Having fun at work and helping others do the same

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 2+ years of experience as an Executive Assistant
• Experience with supporting multiple leaders
• Experience with executive level calendar management
• Experience with domestic and/or international travel coordination
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong organizational and communication skills, team-orientated philosophy, and problem-solving skills
• Project Management/Project Coordination Experience (goal & project tracking, reporting, space planning, budgeting, process improvement, etc.)
• High levels of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information
