As a Production Planner, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
Analyzes demand requirements to create procurement and production schedules for area of responsibility
Provides a high degree of planning analysis to develop and maintain operating rhythm to ensure smooth supply chain operations, aligning supply with demand
Responsible for coordinating with internal and external suppliers, and various business teams to meet service, cost, and Inventory targets
Identifies and leads projects that improve supply chain speed and inventory investment. Review and reports on project progress with management
Utilize Supply Chain tools and processes such as eMES, Peoplesoft, and Factory Planner, Lean Six Sigma methodologies to improve service, inventory turns, and non-working inventory
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
Three (3) combined years of supply chain, planning, and/or logistics experience in a private, public, government or military environment
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Production Operations, Materials, Business Management or Engineering (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
Experience with SAP
Advanced data analysis & Microsoft Excel skills
APICS CPIM certification or willingness to pursue
Lean Six Sigma experience or similar certification or training
